Markdown tables are wonderful until you align pipes by hand for the fourth column of the fifteenth row. Paste your data as CSV, tabs, or pipes; get a perfectly padded markdown table with the separator row auto-generated, ready to copy into GitHub, Notion, or your blog.

What the converter handles
Auto-detection reads your first rows and picks the separator: tabs from spreadsheet copies, commas from CSV exports, semicolons from European Excel, pipes if you are already half-way there. A manual override exists for stubborn inputs.
Column widths pad to the widest cell so the source stays readable even before rendering, and the alignment selector adds your choice of left, center, or right colons to the header separator.
The copy button writes the exact table to your clipboard in one click. Markdown pipes inside cell content are escaped automatically so they do not break the table.
Worth remembering
- Copy directly from Excel or Google Sheets: tabs arrive free and auto-detect handles them without changing anything.
- Keep header cells short; most renderers wrap data cells but headers set the column width.
Frequently asked
Does my data upload anywhere?
No: conversion runs in your browser and the table is generated locally. Nothing is sent to a server.
Will this render on GitHub and GitLab?
Yes: the output follows the classic pipe-table syntax shared by GitHub, GitLab, Reddit (with different alignment defaults), Jekyll and Hugo. Renderers that need strict formatting get it via the padded output here.
